What forklift certificate do you receive — and what does it prove?
An operator’s certificate records who was trained, on what truck type and capacity, to what standard, and when — the exact evidence HSE’s L117 expects an employer to hold. It’s issued after the operator passes both the theory and practical tests on an accredited course, whether novice, experienced-operator, conversion or refresher.
Certificates are truck-type specific and should be refreshed periodically (L117 suggests every 3–5 years). If your operators’ certificates are missing, expired or from an unrecognised provider, we can assess and re-certificate them quickly on your own trucks, at your premises, anywhere in the UK.

How long does a forklift training course take?
It depends on the course type. Novice courses take 3–5 days, experienced operator courses 1–3 days, conversion courses 1–2 days, and refresher courses just 1 day.
